At the Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC), it is our goal to ensure a learning environment which provides our students with opportunities to lead, collaborate, and achieve at their fullest potential. ECDC teachers, university partners, parents, and staff work hard to ensure a strong academic dual language English/Spanish 50:50 program for all students in PreK 3 through 5th grade.
Student success is the result of a strong collaborative partnership with the Corpus Christi Independent School District and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Academic engagement is evident through diverse teaching and learning methods incorporating advanced technology and a strong fine arts curriculum. Both initiatives provide our students with the foundation necessary for advanced critical and creative thought while enabling each student the opportunity to develop his/her own unique abilities and talents through intellectual and artistic expression.
The Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets brings to focus our work with parents and with the community as we strive to strengthen our academic program through the support of mentors, volunteers, community partners, and an active parent involvement program.
